Our Journey

A North American Migration is a search for adventure and fun flying. We are starting in Jackson Hole, WY (home sweet home!), near the 45th N parallel. Jackson is high in the Rocky Mountains and borders Grand Teton National Park. Over the next 5 months, we will travel in our '98 Chevy Astro Van for over 4000 miles through 7 countries to the Pacific coast of Costa Rica and back.

Our main focus will be paragliding (Acro, Cross Country, and Tandem!), but we will see a few other air and wind sports along the way: Skydiving, BASE Jumping, Kitesurfing, and Speed Flying. We also plan to get in touch with the communities we are traveling through by offering complementary tandem flights to the locals along the way. We also hope to support programs like the Cloudbase Foundation, which aims to help less fortunate children around the places we fly.

A few stopovers along the way:

Valle de Bravo, Mexico - One of the most popular paragliding destinations in Mexico and North America. It has been the scene of numerous world competitions and serves as a perfect winter getaway for Northern Hemisphere pilots. Valle is set aside a picturesque mountain lake and just a few hours from Mexico City. The resort town vibe and great food attract more than just paraglider pilots.

Panajachel, Guatemala - Located on the shore of Lake Atitlan, the deepest lake in Central America, high in the Guatemalan altiplano. It is surrounded by three large volcanoes, which provide a stunning backdrop. The shoreline is dotted with numerous scenic villages and the flying is awesome! Pana is a popular training destination among the paragliding aerobatics crowd; many of the worlds best tricksters have been traveling here for years.

Dominical, Costa Rica - A quaint beach town on the Pacific coast home to great surfing, yoga, and Pura Vida vibes. The smooth coastal ridge soaring and proximity to Chirripo National Park make it a great flying destination as well. The park surrounds Cerro Chirripo, the highest peak in costa rica at over 12,500ft.

And many more in between!
